Elizabeth’s Mini Library: The Disasters by M.K. England

Presenting Elizabeth's Mini Library: The Disasters by M.K. England. Reviewed by Libby Goby for In the Stacks.

Hey everyone! I'm Libby Goby and welcome to my video book review for In the Stacks. Todays review is The Disasters by M.K. England. This is M.K. England's debut novel, a YA Sci-Fi novel that follows a group of Teens as they turn to head home back to earth after being rejected by the Academy, the only school that trains teens to venture out into space and populate the Colony Planets. When the shuttle arrives to take the four of them back to Earth- it brings disaster with it and terror rushes the Ellis Station. A narrow escape leads the teens further from home than they’ve ever been. An adventure story that brings together a crew of rejects, each character is beautifully diverse and complex. This gem of a book showcases authentic characters and an array of relationships between them. A perfect read for anyone who enjoys vivid sci-fi settings, complex and unique characters, or intense race-against-time plots lines.
