The Birds Word with Robin: YA Fantasy Book Roundup

Presenting The Birds Word with Robin: A young adult fantasy roundup featuring books with strong female leads. Reviewed by Robin Wasilewski for In the Stacks.

Hi, my name is Robin and today I’ll be reviewing three of my favorite young adult fantasy books that have a strong female lead for In the Stacks. The first book I am going to be discussing is Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas. This follows the main character Celaena who is a teenage assassin and currently serving out a sentence in a salt mine, until she’s offered her freedom by the kingdom, if she can win a competition to become the King’s assassin. The second book, also by Sarah J Maas is called A Court of Thorns and Roses. This book is about how 19 year of Feyre suddenly finds herself in trouble after hunting and killing a wolf in the woods. She then finds herself being dragged to a magical land where she needs to learn how to service. They last book I’ll be discussing is Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. This is the first book of the Infernal Devices series. It tells the story of Tessa Grey who travels to London to find her brother, but instead ends up finding herself kidnapped instead.
