Hey, I am Desiree and this is Novel Culture Podcast’s Quick Review. Today I will be reviewing Jon’s Boom Shaka Laka Problem by AJ Sherwood. This is the fourth book in the Jon’s Mysteries series, a mystery series featuring a gay psychic with a death touch to electronic devices, who consults with the police on strange and clueless cases. This series stars Jon, a psychic who reads people’s auras and his partner and boyfriend, Donovan, who assists with his cases while also acting as Jon’s electronic device buffer. In this book, Jon receives a phone call from an FBI agent requesting he come to Las Vegas and defuse a bomb, the problem? They have 23 hours till the bomb goes BOOM and Jon and his Jon proof car are over 25 hours away. Jon and Donovan must fly if they intend to make it in time to save the Aria Hotel and Casino. This book is filled with stressful situations, Jon and Donovan's first real fight, explosions, and a search for the bomb maker. If you like your mystery novels to take place in the real world with a splash of paranormal fun and a side of gay romance, this book is definitely for you. If all this sounds good but you haven’t read the other Jon’s Mysteries, be sure to start with Jon’s Downright ridiculous shooting case!
